Steven Vail, a private dealer working with major collectors and museums worldwide for over 15 years, launched Steven Vail Fine Arts - Project Room as a Midwestern exhibition space in 2009. The Project Room’s inventory and exhibitions focus on fine prints, multiples and works on paper by modern and contemporary artists. Nearly half of the collection consists of works by non-American artists, rendering SVFA Project Room a platform for and barometer of the international print world. Since its inception, the gallery has mounted exhibitions of work by leading American and international artists that have included Damien Hirst, Gary Hume, Jaume Plensa, Willem de Kooning, Richard Serra, Louise Bourgeois, Mark Francis, Ellsworth Kelly, Sol LeWitt, and Chuck Close.
